Easy Meatless Taco Salad

What you'll need: 

1/2 package Lightlife Smart Ground Original Crumbles

1 tablespoon DIY taco seasoning (recipe below)

1 head Romaine lettuce

1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed

2 chopped tomatoes

3 green onions, chopped

1/2 cup shredded white cheddar or vegan cheese

Tortilla chips


How to make it: 

Prepare Lightlife Smart Ground Original Crumbles according to package directions.

Arrange salad with lettuce on the bottom, followed by Lightlife Original Crumbles, black beans, tomatoes, onions and cheese arranged in rows to make a gorgeous presentation.

All She Cooks' DIY Taco Seasoning:


8 tablespoons chili powder
12 teaspoons ground cumin
8 teaspoons sea salt
8 teaspoons black pepper
4 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons dried oregano
4 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes


Mix all ingredients together in jar until well incorporated. 

When adding to taco filling: Use approximately 2 tablespoons of seasoning per pound of protein. Add in 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water when cooking if necessarily, and then reduce heat and simmer.
