Southern-Style Sausage Biscuits with Gravy

What you'll need: 

1 package (14 oz) Lightlife® Gimme Lean® Sausage
1 package (12 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. vegan vegetable oil spread
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 cups plain soy milk
1 tsp. ground black pepper

How to make it: 

Bake biscuits according to package directions.

In a nonstick skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Crumble Gimme Lean® Sausage into skillet and break up pieces with a spatula. Heat Gimme Lean® Sausage until browned, stirring often. Set aside.

In a medium saucepan, heat margarine over medium heat until melted. Whisk in the flour to make a roux. Add the milk in a slow steady stream, stirring with a whisk continuously. Continue stirring until thick. Add browned Gimme Lean® Sausage to the roux. Season with pepper.

To serve, split biscuits in half on plate. Ladle sausage gravy over top. Enjoy!
