Tempeh Fries With Chipotle Aioli

Everyone loves French fries, so we had to tempehfy them. These tempeh fries with chipotle aioli are the perfect high-protein snack. They’re easy to make and can be eaten as is or paired with any vegetable.
Portions : 2 ou 3
Prep and Cook Time: 40 minutes

Ingrédients:

Tempeh fries
1 (8 oz) package of LightLife® Original Tempeh, cut into 1⁄2″ thick “fries”
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Maple Syrup
1⁄2 tsp Liquid Smoke (optional, but adds flavor; can sub smoked paprika)
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Black Pepper to taste
Chipotle aioli
1⁄3 cup Raw Cashews
1⁄4 cup Water
Juice from 1⁄2 Lemon
1⁄8-1⁄4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Maple Syrup
1 Whole Chipotle Pepper in Adobo Sauce from can
Directives :
1. Add tempeh to a container with soy sauce and the 5 ingredients that follow. Put lid on to the container and lightly shake so the tempeh gets fully coated in the marinade. Let tempeh sit for at least 15 minutes, preferably 30 minutes. Or let the tempeh sit overnight, if you would like to prep it ahead of time.

2. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Add tempeh in an even layer to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-35 minutes until tempeh is browned and crisp.

3. While tempeh is cooking, blend together aioli ingredients.

4. Serve tempeh with aioli and enjoy.
